GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Randolph College men's tennis team fell to host and Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Guilford College on Saturday afternoon.
Joe Kaneda (Media, Pa./Penncrest) won the lone match for Randolph as the junior took No. 4 singles in three sets (7-5, 2-6, 10-5).
In doubles play, Bradley Strober (Stockton, N.J./Hunterdon Central) and Edgar Ellis (Hickory, N.C./Hickory) fell 8-5 in the No. 1 spot while Kaneda and Daniel Crutcher (Newton, N.C./Maiden) fell 8-3 in No. 2 doubles. Guilford completed the sweep as the Randolph pairing of John Coffron (Front Royal, Va./Warren County) and Ben Roberts (Davidson, N.C./Davidson Day) fell 8-0 at No. 3.
Randolph drops to 2-6, 1-3 ODAC and will continue conference play on Thursday, April 5 when it travels to Roanoke College for a 2 p.m. contest.
