LYNCHBURG, VA – The Randolph College men's tennis team defeated Lynchburg College 7-2 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match on Wednesday.  The WildCats picked up a big win to move closer to clinching an ODAC tournament berth.

The 'Cats began their strong play in doubles, winning two of three matches.  Bradley Strober and Doug Corbett were strong at number one.  They controlled the match the entire way and won 8-1.  Trevor Johnson and Tuan Tran were nearly as dominant at number three.  The two gave up only two games on the way to the win.  Kyle Unruh and JT von Seggern faced a tough battle at number two.  The pair from Randolph forced the Hornets to win nine games to take the match.

Johnson and Unruh faced strong opposition at number three and six respectively.  Johnson won the first 7-5, before going back and forth in the second, taking that 6-4.  Unruh battled the entire match, and ended up taking it 6-4, 6-4.  Corbett played tough at four, winning seven total games, but he fell.

Von Seggern had the shortest work in singles, winning number two 6-2, 6-2.  He took control of the match early and did not let it go, sealing the win.
