BRIDGEWATER, VA.- The Virginia Sports Information Director (VaSID) on Tuesday afternoon announced the 2018 College Division All-State Men's Soccer Teams. Senior midfielder Adam Watson (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) was named to the First Team.
This is Watson's second straight First Team selection after last season's 2017 honor. Last month, he was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Second Team and the Old Dominion Athletic Conference First Team.
Among midfielders that were selected to the first and second team, Watson was second in goals scored and points. His 10 tallies represented a career high for him and he is the first Randolph player since Corey Sindle in 2013 to have double-digit scores in a season.
VaSID names 27 all-state teams in 15 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership to VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
