FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced its All-Conference Team in men's soccer on Thursday. Senior midfielder Adam Watson (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) was named to the First Team and junior back Frankie DiOrio (Bristow, Va./Patriot) was selected to the Third Team.
This is Watson's second selection to the First Team after earning the same honors last season and his third overall with a 2016 Second Team selection. It is DiOrio's first ever selection.
Watson started 11 of 12 games for the WildCats in 2018. He scored a career-high 10 goals and added three assists for 23 points. He was named the ODAC Player of the Week on October 1 after accumulating seven points in games against Eastern Mennonite and Virginia Wesleyan.
Watson ranks second in the conference in total shots with 63, fourth in shots on goal with 36, and fifth in both goals scored and points. For his career, he is second in the WildCat record books in game-winning goals (9), second in goals scored (27), and third in points (63).
DiOrio has been durable in the back for Randolph as he started all 16 games this year and all 54 games in his three-year career. He scored twice on the season with both goals coming in conference play.
