FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Monday announced the Men's Soccer Player of the Week. Senior midfielder Adam Watson (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) was selected with the honor. It is the third weekly selection of his career.
Watson had a seven-point week for the WildCats. On Tuesday at Eastern Mennonite, he scored twice including a late game-tying goal in Randolph's 4-3 double overtime setback to the Royals. This past Saturday against Virginia Wesleyan, Watson netted the game-winning goal in the 77th minute off of a free kick to help lead the 'Cats to a 2-1 victory over the Marlins. He also assisted on Randolph's first goal of the game.
Watson has scored in his last four contests and has points in all but one game out of the six he has played in. On the season, Watson has seven goals and one assist for 15 points. He is third in the ODAC in goals and points. He leads in total shots taken with 43.
