Men’s Soccer plays to 1-1 Draw at Hood

FREDERICK, Md.- For the second straight game, the Randolph men's soccer team played to double overtime. This time, however, a decision was not reached as the WildCats played to a 1-1 tie with host Hood on Wednesday night.

Randolph's record now stands at 1-1-1. The Blazers drop to 0-1-2.

The WildCats had opportunities in the first half but could not capitalize. The team had four corner kicks in the first 29 minutes but only got one shot off. Hood stuck first in the 35th minute and led 1-0 at halftime.

The 'Cats still trailed more than 15 minutes into the second half. Randolph was finally able to get the equalizer as Eynnar Claros (Falls Church, Va./Falls Church) connected with Adam Watson (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) for his first goal of the season at 60:55.

Randolph had a 4-1 advantage in shots in both overtimes but none on frame. Overall, the WildCats led in shots 23-11. Corner kicks were 9-2 in Randolph's favor.

Austin Collier (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) started in goal and went the entire 110 minutes. He faced three shots and picked up two saves.

Randolph's home opener will be this Friday night against Greensboro. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at WildCat Stadium.
