Men’s Soccer Picked Ninth in ODAC Preseason Poll

FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) on Wednesday released its men's soccer poll for 2018. Randolph was slotted in ninth out of 13 teams with 54 points.

Defending champion Lynchburg was picked to once again come out on top with nine first place votes and 140 points. Washington and Lee was second with three first place votes and 128 points. Roanoke was right behind in third with one first place vote and 122 points.

The 'Cats went 10-9 overall and 4-5 in the ODAC in 2017 qualifying as the #7 seed in the ODAC Tournament. They defeated the Maroons in the quarterfinals before falling to W&L in the semifinals. The team returns its top two scorers in Adam Watson and Frankie DiOrio and goalkeepers Erick Cortez-Martinez and Austin Collier.

The 2018 campaign begins September 1 as the WildCats take on DeSales University at the Frostburg State University Kickoff. ODAC play commences on September 19 when Randolph-Macon comes to WildCat Stadium for a midweek contest.
