KANSAS CITY, MO.- The United Soccer Coaches organization released its All-Regional Teams on Wednesday. Junior midfielder Adam Watson (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) was selected to the All-South Atlantic Team. He was one of 13 players to be chosen from the Old Dominion Athletic Conference.
Watson is the seventh player in Randolph men's soccer history to earn All-Region honors. He joins Cory Sindle, who was named to the First Team twice and the Third Team once, Will Wolf, John Adams, Jacob Luzczek, Blake Heatherly and Troy Jurney.
Earlier this month, Watson was named to the ODAC First Team. He enjoyed a career year in 2017 with nine goals scored and three assists for a total of 21 points. His nine scores are tied for the most in the ODAC and his 21 points tied for second. Watson scored three game winners on the year with two straight coming in 1-0 victories over Emory and York. He was named the ODAC Player of the Week on October 30 after tallying an assist in a playoff clinching win at Guilford and netting two goals in Randolph's 2-1 victory at Roanoke in the ODAC quarterfinals.
