LYNCHBURG, Va.-  In front of a big Homecoming crowd on a sunny and warm Saturday afternoon, the Randolph men's soccer team hosted Eastern Mennonite in the first Old Dominion Athletic Conference for both teams. The WildCats recovered from a 1-0 deficit early on to defeat the Royals 4-2 at WildCat Stadium.

The loss snaps EMU's six-game winning streak. The Royals drop to 6-2 overall. Randolph, which has now won four in a row, improves to 6-2 on the season.

Eastern Mennonite got its first goal on a penalty kick. A Randolph foul was called inside the box and Juan Luna came up to attempt for the Royals. Luna's shot bounced off the left post and in to give the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute.

The WildCats were able to get the equalizer in the 36th minute. Gabe Krueger (Jacksonville, N.C./White Oak) took a shot from the far right of the net and went to the opposite side to put the 'Cats on the board.

Randolph attacked early and often in the second half. The WildCats were granted a corner kick in the 62nd minute and Frankie DiOrio (Bristow, Va./Patriot) was able to push the ball off his back foot and in to put Randolph ahead 2-1.

DiOrio was not done. He would score at 82:29 off an assist from Evan Blow (Charlottesville, Va./Charlottesville) as the ball glanced off EMU goalie Cody Martin's glove, off the post, and in to increase the WildCat advantage to 3-1. Adam Watson (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) would make it 4-1 at 84:01 as he beat Martin one-on-one. EMU scored with just under three and half minutes left but Randolph controlled the game from the onset as it got the victory.

WildCat starting goalkeeper Austin Collier (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) picked up the win in net. He came away with three saves. His counterpart Martin had six saves for EMU.

Randolph doubled up on Eastern Mennonite in shots 20-10. Corner kicks were also in the WildCats favor 10-7.

There were 11 fouls called in the game. Two yellow cards were given out with a red card handed to EMU's Emmanuel Boamuh.
