Men's Lacrosse to Complete Home Stand before Heading on the Road
LYNCHBURG, VA – After playing the last three games at home, the Randolph College men's lacrosse team will complete its longest stretch at WildCat Stadium before heading on the road to complete the week.
On Tuesday, the 'Cats (2-5 overall, 0-2 ODAC) complete their four-game home stand with a game against Centre College (4-2). The contest will be the first ever meeting between the two teams, however both have experience in the past against the other school's respective conference. Included in that is the WildCats 16-4 win over Oglethorpe earlier this year. The highlight of the game should come at the 'X', as both teams have won over 56% of their attempts on the year. The game begins at 6 p.m.
Then on Saturday, the 'Cats head on the road, traveling to Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rival Roanoke College (5-1, 1-0). The game was originally scheduled for Friday night at Randolph, but was changed to Saturday due to scheduling issues by the Maroons. It will be the first game of the year that the WildCats will play a nationally-ranked team, as Roanoke is currently ranked 20th in the nation. However, last year had a similar feel, and the 'Cats almost pulled off the upset in Salem. The game will begin at 2 p.m.
