    ASHLAND, VA.- The Randolph men’s basketball team took on #16 Randolph-Macon on Saturday afternoon. The Yelow Jackets won by the score of 92-47.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph men’s basketball outscored visiting Hampden-Sydney 45-32 in the second half as the WildCats claimed a 73-59 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday night. The ‘Cats shot 53% from the field in the second half to take down HS-C.
  • Guilford Edges Out WildCats 60-52

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Having just played 10 days ago in Greensboro, Randolph and Guilford men’s basketball faced off again at the RAD Center on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats stormed back from a double-digit first half deficit but the Quakers held off the ’Cats in the end as they won 60-52.
  • Comeback Falls Short for Randolph Men at Ferrum

    FERRUM, Va.- Randolph closed a nine-point deficit late in the second half to just one point and nearly sent its game with Ferrum to overtime but ultimately fell to the Panthers 74-72 on Wednesday night. The loss drops Randolph to 6-9 overall and 1-5 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Panthers improve to 3-12 and 2-4 in the conference.
  • WildCats Fall to Marlins in First Home Game of 2019

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- For the first time in 2019, the Randolph men’s basketball team played at the RAD Center as the WildCats took on Virginia Wesleyan. The ’Cats took an early first half lead but Virginia Wesleyan was able to come back and pull away with an 81-69 victory.
  • Men’s Hoops Drops ODAC Contest at Guilford

    GREENSBORO, N.C.- The Randolph men’s basketball team returned to the hardwood on Wednesday night in its first action of the New Year at Guilford. The WildCats got out to a quick start in the first half but the Quakers recovered as they went on to win 70-62.
  • Randolph Claims Juniata Holiday Tournament Title with 84-80 Win Over Stockton

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Randolph and Stockton men’s basketball teams faced off in the championship game of the Juniata College Comfort Inn Holiday Tournament on Friday afternoon. The WildCats withstood a rally by the Ospreys in the second half and won by the final score of 84-80.
  • WildCats Down Eagles Behind Hooper’s Career Effort

    HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Randolph men’s basketball team came into its game with Juniata College looking to end its five-game winless streak. Aided by a career high 32 points from Sammy Hooper (Richmond, Va./Midlothian), the WildCats did just that as they defeated the Eagles 71-55 on Thursday night at the Comfort Inn Holiday Tournament. With the victory, the ’Cats record now stands at 5-6. JC drops to 4-6 overall.
  • Randolph Men Fall to Southern Virginia

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team hosted Southern Virginia in the final home game of 2018 on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats trailed by only two points at halftime but the Knights opened the second half with a big run to quickly expand its lead and would go on win 87-68.

    BRIDGEWATER, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team faced off against Bridgewater in the  second meeting of the season between the two teams on Saturday. The WildCats trailed only by four points at halftime but the Eagles used a big second half to pull away and win by the score of 91-67.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The WildCat men’s basketball team faced off against Mary Washington on the second day of the Wayne Proffitt Classic held at the University of Lynchburg, Randolph kept pace with the Eagles for most of the game but UMW was too much in the end as they won by the score of 75-66.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team did not have to travel far for its game on Saturday as they went across town to the University of Lynchburg to compete in the Wayne Proffitt Classic. The WildCats took on #22 Christopher Newport and fell to the Captains by the final score of 82-48.
  • Men’s Basketball Drops Close Contest with Apprentice 76-74

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Randolph men’s basketball hosted Apprentice School in a non-conference game on Wednesday night at the RAD Center. It was a tight contest for 60 minutes as the visiting Builders were able to come away with a 76-74 win. Apprentice improves to 4-1 on the season while the WildCats drop to 4-2.

    FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference on Monday announced the Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Randolph sophomore Justin Dula (Taylorsville, N.C./Alexander Central) was bestowed with the honor for the first time in his career.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team returned to the hardwood on Sunday afternoon as it hosted Bridgewater in a big Old Dominion Athletic Conference game. The Eagles rallied late in the second half but the WildCats were able to withstand the Bridgewater flurry to win 74-73.

    GREENSBORO, N.C.- Behind a strong shooting performance, the Randolph men’s basketball team defeated Greensboro by the score 89-79 on Tuesday night. The win improves the WildCats’ record to 3-1 while the Pride fall to 1-2.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team didn’t have to travel far for its cross-city game with Lynchburg on Saturday in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener for both teams. The WildCats climbed their way back after falling behind early in the first half but the Hornets recovered with a big second half run to win 60-48.

    RALEIGH, N.C.- Three Randolph starters reached double figures as the men’s basketball team defeated William Peace on the road 84-73 on Wednesday. The win gives the WildCats a record of 2-0 to start the season.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The 2018-19 season started for the Randolph men’s basketball team as they hosted St. Mary’s of Maryland on Saturday afternoon. The WildCats built up an early first half lead on their way to a 77-69 victory.
  • 2018-19 Men’s Basketball Season Preview

    For the Randolph men’s basketball team, the 2017-18 season had its share of growing pains. The WildCats finished with an overall record of 7-20 and 3-13 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Despite that, Randolph was able to advance to the ODAC Quarterfinals thanks to an upset of Virginia Wesleyan on the Marlins’ home court in the first round of the tournament. Head coach Pete Hamilton saw that win as part of a reset for his team.
  • Men’s Hoops Competes at Longwood in Final Exhibition

    FARMVILLE, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team played its second and final exhibition game as it gets ready for the start of the 2018-19 season as the WildCats went just an hour east to take on Division I Longwood University. The Pacers would win by the score of 84-56.

    SALEM, Va.- In conjunction with its annual men’s basketball Media Day held at the Salem Civic Center, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference released its preseason poll on Thursday morning. Randolph was picked 10th.
  • Men’s Basketball Plays Exhibition at Elon

    ELON. N.C.- For the first time this season, the Randolph men’s basketball hit the hardwood for an exhibition game with Elon Univeristy of Division I. The Phoenix won 98-45.
  • Randolph Men’s Basketball Schedule Released

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team officially released its schedule for the 2018-19 season. The WildCats finished 7-20 overall and 3-13 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference last year.
