  • Fields Named to ODAC Men’s Basketball Third Team

    FOREST, Va.- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released its All-Conference Team in men’s basketball on Friday. Randolph was represented by senior Ryan Fields (Edgewood, Md./Loyola Blakefield) on the Third Team. This is Fields’ second straight selection after being named to the Third Team last season.

    SALEM, Va.- The #12 seed Randolph men’s basketball team faced off against #4 seed Emory and Henry in the quarterfinals of the ODAC Tournament on Friday afternoon. The Wasps used a late first half run to pull away and ultimately win by the score of 82-69.
  • Men’s Basketball Heads to Salem for ODAC Quarterfinals

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Following a 57-54 upset win over Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday night, the Randolph men’s basketball team travels to Salem, Virginia for the ODAC quarterfinals. The #12 seed WildCats face #4 seed Emory and Henry at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Salem Civic Center.
  • Randolph Men Knock Off Virginia Wesleyan in ODAC First Round; Advance to Salem

    VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- Three days after facing each other in Lynchburg, the Randolph and Virginia Wesleyan men’s basketball teams met in the first round of the ODAC Tournament at the Marlins’ Donald M. Forsyth Court. The WildCats trailed by 10 points in the first half but rallied in the second and held off the Marlins 57-54 to advance to the semifinals in Salem, Va.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team hosted its final regular season game on Saturday afternoon at the RAD Center against Virginia Wesleyan. The WildCats came up short as they fell to the Marlins 76-53.

    ROANOKE, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team travelled to Roanoke for the penultimate regular season game on Wednesday night. The Maroons pulled away in the second half as they won by the score of 72-60.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- It took an extra session but in the end, Randolph men’s basketball came out on top as they knocked off Eastern Mennonite 79-71 on Saturday afternoon at the RAD Center. The victory, the WildCats’ second in the last three games, lifts Randolph to 6-17 overall and 3-11 in the ODAC. The Royals drop to 9-13 and 4-10 in the conference.
  • First Half Lead Slips Away for Men’s Hoops at Hampden-Sydney

    HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va.- Visiting Randolph led Hampden-Sydney at the half but the Tigers went on a big run to begin the second half and ended up with an 84-77 win on Wednesday night. The WildCats' record now stands at 5-17 overall and 2-11 in the ODAC while the Tigers are 6-16 and 3-10 in the conference.

    LYNCHBURG, VA.- Coming off a near comeback against Lynchburg on Wednesday, the Randolph men’s basketball team hosted Bridgewater on Saturday afternoon at the RAD Center. The WildCats led for most of the game as they took care of the Eagles 73-60.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- It was a packed house at the RAD Center on Wednesday night as the Randolph men’s basketball team played host to city rival Lynchburg College. The game came down to the final seconds with the Hornets walking away with a 73-70 victory.

    ASHLAND, Va.- Early momentum favored the Randolph men’s basketball team in their ODAC contest with Randolph-Macon but the host Yellowjackets were quick to take it away as they won 68-47 on Saturday evening. RMC improves to 14-5 overall and 8-2 in the conference while Randolph falls to 4-15 overall and 1-9 in the league.
  • WildCats Give #21 Wasps a Fight but Fall 85-74

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- First place Emory and Henry came to the RAD Center on Wednesday nightg with a #21 national ranking and an undefeated ODAC record. The Randolph men gave the Wasps a battle but E&H ultimately came out on the winning end 85-74.
  • Randolph Men Drop ODAC Contest to EMU

    HARRISONBURG, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team returned to the hardwood on Saturday afternoon as they traveled to Eastern Mennonite. The Royals held a double-digit lead at halftime and the WildCats rallied but ultimately fell short in an 83-62 loss.
  • Men’s Hoops Drops Close Decision to W&L 76-73

    LEXINGTON, Va.- The Randolph men’s basketball team traveled up to Lexington to take on Washington and Lee on Thursday night. In a game that featured 11 ties, 10 lead changes, and a difference at one time of no more than eight points, it was a tight contest throughout that saw the Generals hold off the WildCats in the end, 76-73.

    GREENSBORO, N.C.- Visiting Randolph led early against Guilford but the host Quakers rallied to take the lead back as they won 73-55 on Wednesday night in an ODAC contest at Ragan-Brown Field House. Guilford improves to 7-7 and 3-2 in the conference while the WildCats falls to 3-11 and 0-5.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Visiting Randolph-Macon led from start to finish as it defeated the Randolph men’s basketball team 78-51 on Saturday afternoon at the RAD Center. The win gives the Yellowjackets a record of 10-3 overall and 4-0 in the ODAC. The WildCats fall to 3-10 and 0-4 in the conference.
  • WildCat Men Fend Off Hawks 80-75 at Spounagle New Year’s Tournament

    LANCASTER, Pa.- Randolph men’s basketball recovered from a lopsided loss last night to Franklin and Marshall to overtake Hartwick 80-75 in the consolation game of the Spounagle New Year’s Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The win puts Randolph’s record at 3-9 overall while the Hawks drop to 3-6.

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Sammy Hooper’s (Richmond, Va./Midlothian) 29 points led all scorers and Randolph fended off a late William Peace rally as the WildCats held on for a 72-71 win Monday night at the RAD Center. The win puts Randolph’s record at 2-8 while the Pride drop to 2-6.
  • Jacoby’s Buzzer-Beater Lifts Randolph Men to 60-59 Victory over SVU

    LYNCHBURG, Va.- Trailing by two points with just over three seconds remaining in regulation, the Randolph men’s basketball team needed a miracle. With the clock winding down, Reid Jacoby (Richmond, Va./Benedictine) gave the WildCats what they needed as he drained a three-point shot at the buzzer to give Randolph a thrilling 60-59 victory over Southern Virginia on Saturday afternoon at the RAD Center.

The Hornets were able to outlast the WildCats by the score of 80-78 in overtime. The loss drops Randolph to 0-8 overall and 0-3 in the conference while Shenandoah moves to 4-3 and 1-1.

    BRIDGEWATER, Va.- Looking for its first win of the season, the Randolph men’s basketball teams traveled to Bridgewater on Wednesday night to begin conference play. The WildCats came close at the end but the host Eagles were able to come away with victory as they held off the ‘Cats 76-72.
