Robinson Earns High Honors
KANSAS CITY, MO– On Tuesday, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) released the 2016-2017 Honors Court. With the Randolph College men's basketball team being honored as a whole last week by the NABC, it was no surprise to see one of the captains, Keion Robinson, being named to the prestigious list.
To be named to the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior and have spent more than a year at an institution. That player must also maintain a 3.2 or better cumulative GPA, showing how well they have done in the classroom during their time in college. Robinson has done just that. While he missed most of the previous season rehabbing from an injury, he still excelled off the court and as a leader.
"Keion is an excellent leader for our program on and off the court," said head coach Pete Hamilton '11. "He truly embraces getting the most out of the student-athlete experience and has continued to set himself up for success. I'm very proud and excited for Keion to achieve a spot on the Honors Court; but, I am certainly not surprised. He will continue to be a great ambassador for Randolph College and our men's basketball program and this is a great example of that."
